81. How this guide is written
Untangle is written by Rich, who was diagnosed with ADHD in 2024. It is free, independent and not paid for by any clinic, drug company or provider. It is information, not medical advice.
Who writes it?
Rich writes and edits every page. He is not a doctor. He writes from his own experience and from the sources below. You can read more on the Who made this page.
Where do the facts come from?
Facts come from the NHS, NICE, NHS England Digital, GOV.UK and the NHS bodies in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Some also come from UK charities such as ADHD UK and ADHD Foundation. The main sources are listed on the Sources page.
How is it written?
Pages use plain British English and short sentences, so they are easy to read when you're tired or overwhelmed. Quotes from people with ADHD are real and credited.
How often are pages checked?
Pages are checked when NHS rules, laws or guidance change, and when a reader reports a problem. Pages about medicine, NHS routes and your rights get checked first.
